Q1. "What type of vehicles do you use and are they air conditioned?"
A1. We use Executive Family Size Saloon Cars/Sedans and Larger Estate/Station-wagons. We also have a choice of large or executive 5 or 6 passenger Minivans/MPV's.
All vehicles have air-conditioning, but this is rarely necessary in UK.
All vehicles are clean and all are fully licensed. They are tested twice yearly for safety by the Ministry of Transport, and all are registered with the London Public Carriage Office.Q2." At the airport, where will we meet our driver?"
A2. He will be standing by the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall with ansign with your family name on it.
We provide an emergency telephone number should you fail to spot him - we have a 100% reliability record on our drivers being at the airport!

A3. Our driver enters the airport arrivals 20 minutes after you actually land, plus we include 40mins waiting in our fare. We check incoming flights and will know if you are delayed. Feel free to call our emergency number on your confirmation if you think you may be delayed longer than 1 hour, or have a delayed departure - see Q2 above.Q4. "What kind of service do you offer? and why are your prices cheaper than most executive car services?"
A4. We offer a 'Low-cost Airport & Cruiseport Transfer Service'. No Suits and Ties, but executive vehicles and friendly, safe licensed drivers. We only use fully licensed experienced drivers and use an executive licensed fleet of vehicles, each regularly checked for safety.(See Q1) LondonAirConnections.com's aim is to fill the gap in the market between Cheap Backstreet Minicab Companies pretending to be 'Airport Transfer Specialists' and Expensive 'Chauffeur' Drive Companies. LondonAirConnections was created solely for 'Airport Transfers' and 'Cruise Terminal & Port Transfers' and we offer nothing else, except 'en-route site-seeing tours' and ''private photo tours'. Q5. Is price quoted the price I'll pay, or are there hidden extra's once we start the ride?
A5. Once you have booked with us your fare is guaranteed.* The price you are quoted is the price you pay** and we also confirm this in writing in your confirmation email.***
*Provided no journey details are changed once booking is made or deviations made once in the car. Also see 'excessive waiting time' in Q6 below.
**Gratuities are not included and normally are given at 10-15% of fare, but are not obligatory.
*** Booking Fee: All bookings incur a small booking fee - this is a one-off £5 charge and is per booking not per journey. (This goes towards covering credit card charges).Q6. "What does your fare include? "
A6. Our fares are inclusive and are per vehicle, not per person. This can work out extremely good value for money, especially if you have more than one passenger in your party.

Driver 'Meet & Greeting' at the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall. (Be aware that many firms charge extra for this!) Your waiting time. (Be aware that many firms add this to the fare once you get in the car!) (See "What's included" link below) Your vehicle's car park fee at the airport or cruise terminal. (Be aware that many firms add this to the fare once you get in the car!) Help with your luggage. (As much as he can carry/push on one trolly!) Your journey (as booked) direct to the door. (Or as close as your driver can reasonably get to!)- All tolls, congestion charges and road fees. (Be aware that many firms based outside of London add this to the fare once you get in the car!)
Help unloading your luggage at your destination. (Our drivers will not just watch you unload the car - we've personally seen many that do!) A friendly, fluent English speaking, professional driver! (Be aware that many firms use drivers just arrived from overseas and that do not know their way around the UK or even London - some do not even speak English!)- See "What's included"... CLICK HERE
Q7. "Do you accept credit-cards online?"
A7a. We accept credit cards online and have a secure SSL encrypted booking forms to do this safely. Only our booking forms are encrypted automatically. If you still do not feel safe about paying online you can request payment by "ring-back credit card" on the booking form, and after entering your time zone in the world, our operators will ring you for you details during the next day.
A7b. Many Private Hire Airport Transfer Companies & Operators in the UK no longer work on a cash basis. To stay competitive we needed to accept cards and have managed to keep our prices low despite of this. The cost of securing our booking form and the transmission of information passed to our office is part-covered by the booking fee.
*** We want you to be 100% secure before you attempt to enter your credit card details, so if in doubt please call us or request a ring-back service.***Q8. "Can we still use your 'Trust Policy'?" or "Can we pay cash to the driver?"
A8a. In the past we used to accept "Cash to driver" booking from all clients - but our 'trust policy' was abused by many people, and even some of our competitors booked bogus journeys on our site. This left some of our drivers at the airport with no passengers and no fare! Unfortunately, we can no longer bare the cost of this and keep our fares down.
(We are still offering our "Trust Policy" or "Cash to driver" to UK residents under certain conditions, as we can trace them easily if they default on our 'Trust' agreement).
A8b. We are still are a family run business with family values though and as you trust us to be at the airport for you, in return we are willing to trust you under certain conditions.
If you really want to pay cash to our driver, or don't have a credit card, you may call us and our operator will tell you how to proceed - BUT DO NOT WITHHOLD YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER!Q9. "Can I change money at the airport I'm landing at?"
A9. ATM's (cash machines) and Travelex Exchanges are available at all airports Arrival areas.
Be warned: Check your credit card exchange rate - it may be better using an ATM than changing your cash to UK currency! ATM's are widely available throughout London.
Remember your PIN for your card, you will need this in London - but do not write it down or give or show it to anyone else!Q10. What currency do you accept?
A10i. We work with £'s (pounds) UK Sterling here in the UK.
A10ii. All booking made online are to be prepaid for by credit card at the time of booking - this is charged in £'s (pounds) UK Sterling, but will automatically be converted by your credit card company based on the rate of exchange on the day of the charge going through to your card issuer.
A10iii. UK Residents: UK clients may opt to pay by cash to driver, but this is only available if the passenger has a UK mobile telephone with them for their journey, and we are given a genuine full UK residential address and landline telephone number.Q11. Why do you offer a discount for online booking, and then show a telephone number for booking, on the your website?
A11. Simply costs. We offer an online discount because this system is faster and takes less human input - saving us (and you) money, so we encourage you to use our secure online booking system!Q12 .Can I ring you and book a journey?
A12. Yes, our office is open between 9am and 7pm (5pm on weekends) and you can just ring and book. We have a limited amount of telephone lines and sometimes get very busy, so we encourage you to use our secure online booking forms for speed and to save you the cost of a call, especially the cost of an international call. If you call us, you will not get the online confirmation or a confirmation booking by email to print out.
A12b. If you really want to pay cash to our driver, or don't have a credit card, you must call us, and our operator will tell you how to proceed - BUT DO NOT WITHHOLD YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER! It's faster and easier to book online. Go make a cup of tea, bring it to the computer and take your time filling in the form - it takes about 10minutes, is completely safe and saves you money!
